 | We offer LOW
student to teacher ratios. In level one, every child has their own aide and an
instructor that runs the class. Even in our highest levels we offer a
ratio of,
at most, 5 students to one aide (plus the class instructor.) Many swim schools
don't even offer this ratio (that we have at our highest levels) for their lowest
levels. See our Class Descriptions for
level specific ratios. |
 | We use the trusted American Red Cross learn to swim system.
Since 1914, the American Red Cross has been the leader in providing swim
lessons and other aquatic services. |
 | We offer our
lessons in two week blocks. Children can forget new
things quickly; having lessons in a daily setting allows fewer skills to be
repeated. This means your child learns more skills at a faster pace. |
 | Our lessons are
held in a fun, sunny, outdoor environment over the summer. At indoor pools,
it's easy to be overpowered by the humid and chlorine musked air. |
 | Our pool starts shallow and slants to nine feet over 13
lanes. This means that there is plenty of space for everyone and that every
level learns its respective skills at a proper depth. Our pool is also
always heated. |
 | For parents: we offer several covered sitting areas that are within
view of the pool. Parents can have some time to themselves in the shade,
watch intently or do a bit of both while their children learn an important skill for life. |
 | On top of the
aforementioned reasons that we feel make us the best, we also consider ourselves
a program
that gives back to the community in an extra way. We are a branch of the
Newark Unified School District so all proceeds from the Newark Summer Swim
Program go right back to the schools, not somebody's pocketbook. |
 | Not being a profit
driven organization allows us to place a greater emphasis on the quality of
our swim lessons instead of a focus on our bottom line. |
